I have been in the hair industry for eighteen years and in that time, I have mastered a variety of techniques. I specialize in color, but also enjoy cutting and styling. I believe that communication between a stylist and a client is very important and value consultations before starting the service. By listening to your hair concerns and offering helpful advice, I guarantee you will always walk out happy with your service. I would say that my favorite service is multidimensional color because it is challenging. I have an eye for color. A2Z Hair Studio is very diverse because every hair stylist contributes their own unique set of skills when providing their services. A2Z Hair Studio benefits me as a stylist because I feel that I can learn from each and every one of the stylists.

I began my career in the beauty industry as a shampoo girl, eventually became a stylist and am now also a salon owner. This transformation has helped mold my foundation of understanding the strategy of hair and how color should enhance the cut and style of each client. I spent years perfecting my designing skills that has led me to pursue and achieve a number of certifications including: GoldWell, Wella, Aveda, L'Oreal, Bumble & bumble, Redken, etc. Design and color are two fundamentals that I use to execute a stylish look for my clients. I love the fast paced, quick changing industry and professionally committed to staying on the top of the game. A2Z Hair Studio is a very well equipped salon with professionals that are highly skilled, experienced, and unique. Each of the stylists has something different to bring to the salon, which benefits us as a whole. We work as a team and aim to please each and every one of our clients.

Mora Naieem Senior Stylist

As a second generation hair stylist, I grew up around the industry where I marveled at how my mom worked her magic. She elated her clients with masterful artistry. I was so inspired, that I decided to follow in her footsteps. To begin with, I attended Graham Webb Academy (in Arlington) where I received my cosmetology license. Since then, I have amassed over twenty years of experience in the field. During this period I have taken classes and attended annual seminars at academies such as L'oreal, Tigi and Goldwell. Additionally, I have been an advocate for Sebastian and Bumble & Bumble. I take genuine pleasure in my profession and consider myself an artist. However, my greatest reward comes when I see the joy in my client's face after his/her hair is done. Meeting new people and making them feel beautiful about themselves is my top priority. More often than not, my first time clients become repeat customers as we forge life-long friendships. Out of all hair-related services I provide, my favorites would have to be balayage and highlights because of the natural look they create. I consider myself a perfectionist with a unique style. With a positive and friendly attitude I constantly collaborate with my fellow stylists. Together, we create a welcoming atmosphere at A2Z that is very conducive to our clientele.

Mary Barillas Junior Stylist, Nail Technician

I studied at Bryant High School for one year. I then began working in Old Town, Alexandria as a hair stylist. Certain characteristics that make me unique as a hairstylist include that I like to talk and keep in contact with my clients. I appreciate listening to what they want with their hair and doing exactly that. My favorite services that I provide for my clients are cutting and color. I enjoy communicating with my clients and understanding what different style they would like to change their hair to. I love seeing the reactions of my clients and how happy they get when they do something different with their hair. I fit into A2Z Hair Studio because I have experience in my work and can help others with whatever assistance they need ranging from helping around the salon to giving my advice/input to the other stylists. I benefit from A2Z because I am able to meet all different types of people from the Clarendon area and work with people that have different styles. I am also able to learn from the other professional’s techniques, experiences, and services.
